FIRE SUPPRESSION
PROTECTING YOUR ASSETS WHEN NO ONE IS AROUND.
AUTOMATICALLY DETECT AND SUPPRESS FIRE WITHOUT HUMAN INTERVENTION.
Fire suppression is equipment installed within a location that automatically detects and suppresses fires without human intervention—using Core Fire Protection to install your suppression systems to protect your assets when no one is around.
GAS SUPPRESSION
Core Fire Protection offers a range of gas suppressions. Gas suppression systems detect a fire and automatically release appropriate gas to suppress the fire without the use of water. This allows your business and assets to be protected with minimum damage to the materials.
PAFSS KITCHENGUARD
PAFFS fire guard uses linear pressurised detection tubing to detect the fire. It is activated when exposed to prolonged heat or flame. This fast-acting detection and actuation system allows kitchen fires to be suppressed quickly, creating minimal damage to kitchen equipment. Ideal for commercial kitchens and certified to LPS 1223.
GAS SOLUTIONS
-
FM-200 is a fire suppression gas which is clean, colourless and odourless; therefore, this system is harmless to humans. When the FM-200 discharges, it suppresses the fire by removing heat and reducing the oxygen concentration in only 10 seconds; it is most commonly used to protect electronic and electrical equipment as it does not leave a residue, minimising damage to your equipment.
-
Novec 1230 is a fire suppression system which suppresses a range of class a, class b and electrical fires in under 10 seconds. The gas is clean, colourless and electrically non-conductive, making it ideal for sensitive electronic and electrical equipment as it does not leave any residue. Novec also is environmentally friendly as it has a low global warming potential.
-
INERGEN is an environmentally friendly fire suppression gas which is non-toxic and non-corrosive. This eco-friendly option is composed of natural gasses (Nitrogen, argon and CO2) and works by reducing the oxygen concentration during a fire. INERGEN is most commonly used to protect sensitive equipment in the area, such as computer rooms or manufacturing equipment.
-
C02 is considered the most effective gas solution within the fire protection industry. As this system discharges a blanket of C02 over the covered area when a fire breaks out, it is best suited to primarily unoccupied areas. Like others, these systems leave no residue protecting critical equipment.
WATER SOLUTIONS
-
A water mist fire suppression system uses a fine water mist to extinguish a fire. These droplets atomise and disperse through the air allowing for the cooling of the environment and suppressing the fire. Water mist solutions are effective in extinguishing electrical fires. Unlike other water solutions, water mist uses minimal water, reducing the risk of water damage to equipment.
-
A deluge fire suppression system uses a network of pipes and nozzles connected to a water supply, with a detection system to trigger the release of water in the event of a fire. Deluge systems are designed to release a large volume of water over the protected area to extinguish the fire quickly.
-
A foam fire suppression system is a type of fire suppression system that uses a foam solution to extinguish fires. The foam solution comprises water, air and a foam concentrate designed to smother the fire by blocking the oxygen supply and cooling the fuel. Foam systems can be used in various applications, are highly effective in suppressing fires and are suitable for multiple fire hazards, including flammable solids, liquids and gases.
AEROSOL SOLUTIONS
Aerosol solutions are fire-suppressive systems that spray micro-partials and gas over a fire; this reduces the heat and extinguishes the fire. As aerosol solutions do not contain water, it is incredibly effective in extinguishing a fire without damaging sensitive equipment. Moreover, the aerosol solution does not affect oxygen levels at any point in the process, making it safe for humans.
